Job Summary

OXBO is seeking a highly skilled Land Manager to join their team and contribute to the development of their renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in land management processes for renewable energy projects, including options, heads of terms, leases, and easements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential sites for BESS and solar projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Develop strategies for land leases and acquisitions, including greenfield projects, ongoing projects, and project acquisitions.
  • Obtain necessary documentation for easements or leases from public records, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Organize and deliver presentations to landowners, effectively communicating project details and benefits.
  • Negotiate and secure easements/leases for BESS and solar development, including related agreements with project landowners.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure accurate and complete agreements.
  • Organize documents, records, and files related to each project and landowner assigned to the land agent.
  • Engage with and support the project development manager, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Stay updated on applicable regulations related to battery and solar project development, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, managing deadlines, objectives, timelines, and success criteria.

Requirements

  • Background in energy development, specifically the project development process.
  • Ability to take ownership of individual projects, demonstrating initiative and accountability.
  • Comfortable initiating contact through cold or warm leads, leveraging industry networks and relationships.
  • Understanding of the planning system as it pertains to energy developments, ensuring compliance and regulatory awareness.
  • Interest in renewable energy development, with a strong industry network and existing connections.
