About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operative to join our team at Akari Care. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our homes and providing a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including internal decoration, grounds maintenance, and building repairs.
  • Ensure that high standards are maintained in all areas of the home, including cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance.
  • Work collaboratively with the home Manager and maintenance team to identify and address any maintenance issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, colleagues, and visitors, demonstrating a warm and approachable demeanor.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting respect, empathy, and understanding among colleagues and residents.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar maintenance role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with a solid understanding of plumbing and joinery.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and engaging personality.
  • Resilience and adaptability in the face of challenging situations, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
