Senior Catastrophe Risk Analyst - SCOR Specialty Insurance

The Senior Catastrophe Risk Analyst will serve as a vital contributor within the Specialty Insurance Single Risks Pricing & Modelling division. This position emphasizes the delivery of precise and dependable CAT (natural and man-made) analytics to bolster underwriting teams and stakeholders. It is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Exposure Management Analyst or Cat Risk Analyst aiming to elevate their career in a global insurance environment.

  • Oversee the CAT pricing and accumulation procedures across single-risk business lines
  • Assist underwriters in effectively leveraging CAT model outputs
  • Enhance analytics and management information related to CAT at both segment and portfolio levels
  • Engage in ongoing CAT modelling initiatives and system enhancements
  • Evaluate and validate CAT outputs, ensuring the integrity of data representation
  • Streamline modelling, pricing, and portfolio workflow efficiency
  • Collaborate with external partners on pricing and accumulation methodologies

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in Exposure Management or Catastrophe Modelling
  • Robust catastrophe modelling expertise utilizing RMS or AIR software
  • Understanding of the Lloyd's/London market, including Property, Fine Art, Specie, Terrorism, and Cyber lines
  • Acquainted with underwriting processes and commercial factors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and SQL
  • Team-oriented with a dedication to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
  • Basic programming skills (e.g., R, Python) are advantageous

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, or Geography
