Marketing and Membership Officer

Job Summary:
Pertemps Plymouth is seeking an experienced and qualified Marketing and Membership Officer to deliver new business development and marketing services to support our client's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Membership Development: Develop and implement strategies to increase membership sales and revenue, including identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with existing members.
- Marketing Services: Provide marketing support to our client, including digital marketing, trade activity, and event planning, to promote their services and products.
- Event Management: Organize and execute member events, conferences, and networking events, including venue selection, catering, and presentation requirements.
- Sponsorship and Commercial Funding: Seek sponsorship and commercial funding for events, activities, and promotional materials, and manage relationships with sponsors and partners.
- CRM Management: Maintain and update the CRM system with details of sales calls and relationship activity, and ensure consistent compliance with General Data Protection Regulations.
- Member Relationships: Build and maintain great relationships with existing members, ensuring their web listings and membership fees are up to date.
- Income Targets: Achieve set income targets, including memberships, sponsorships, campaign income, and advertising.
- Financial Management: Work with finance to ensure that members and commercial businesses pay their fees.
- Representation: Represent our client and its members at meetings and exhibitions, and promote their services and products through social media and newsletters.
- Marketing Alignment: Ensure that all marketing activities are aligned with the Plymouth Visitor Plan 2021 to 2030.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in marketing and business development, with experience in membership sales and revenue growth. You will also need to have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
