Overview: A prominent financial institution is seeking a proficient Solutions Architect to contribute to their Fraud and Financial Crime division. This role offers the flexibility of remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to assess design alternatives and formulate strong recommendations.
  • Oversee project delivery to ensure adherence to established designs and evaluate the implications of change requests on high-level architecture.
  • Facilitate design discussions and workshops involving developers, operational staff, and business stakeholders, including third-party vendors.
  • Disseminate design documents for approval and present these designs during formal review sessions.
  • Conduct peer evaluations of designs created by team members.
  • Engage in technical communities to enhance software development standards and practices.
  • Provide solution design estimates to inform business cases.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at improving the overall capabilities of the Solutions Design team.
  • Work alongside senior architects to support various business projects.

Required Experience:

  • Proficient in a variety of technologies, including Messaging & Middleware, Microservices, Cloud solutions, and Data Streaming.
  • Demonstrated expertise in solution architecture.
  • Experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Familiarity with design governance processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technology stakeholders to establish credibility in addressing business challenges.
  • Skilled in managing and mitigating design-related risks and issues.
  • Capable of influencing and providing constructive challenges at senior levels to achieve optimal outcomes.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in project planning, including scope definition and delivery timelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other change and technology professionals.
  • Knowledge in areas such as Financial Fraud, Anti-Money Laundering, Debit & Credit Card systems, ATM & POS transactions, Payments (FPS, SWIFT, CHAPS, BACS), Core Banking processes, and Treasury Systems.
