Job Title: Contract Director

Briggs Amasco Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Contract Director to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned professional to oversee and manage multiple contracts, ensuring quality, safety, and programme objectives are met. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and organise multiple contracts to ensure timely completion and quality standards are met.
  • Manage and control directly employed and sub-contract labour, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Pre-approve time sheets and sub-contract labour invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
  • Programme works to suit agreed programme and monitor progress, identifying and mitigating any potential risks.
  • Ensure material deliveries meet programme requirements, maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Prepare risk assessments, method statements, quality plans, and other necessary documentation.
  • Ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with Company requirements, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Record variations and advise surveyor, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Ensure works are installed as per approved working drawings and specifications, maintaining quality standards.
  • Liaise with Company employed subcontractors and ensure work meets our requirements, fostering strong relationships.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with both our operatives and the Main Contractor/Client, ensuring effective communication.
  • Organise plant, craneage, etc., to meet programme and cost plan, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Attend site meetings as required, maintaining open and transparent communication.
  • Maintain Health and Safety on site, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Attend Company Safety Meetings/Training, staying up-to-date with industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Articulate and numerate, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of the flat roof industry, with experience in the building and construction industry.
  • Ability to read drawings and take measurements, with a strong attention to detail.
  • CSCS Gold Card and SSSTS, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
