Job Title: Department Head

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Head to join our team at the Andrology Department of the Doctors Laboratory. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing operational management and leadership to the department, ensuring the highest levels of quality and service are maintained.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational management and leadership to the Andrology Department
  • Oversee the performance of routine diagnostic analytical work of the department
  • Ensure compliance with UKAS accreditation and regulatory bodies
  • Manage staff appointment, supervision, and training plans
  • Monitor internal and external quality assurance schemes
  • Participate in effective operational, performance, and quality meetings
Requirements:
  • BSc or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • HCPC Registration
  • PhD in a Reproductive Biology field
  • Experience in leadership, staff recruitment, management, retention, and performance management
  • Experience in managing teams, setting priorities, and addressing performance issues
