Senior Planner - High End Fit Out Contractor - London

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join our team at a leading high end fit out contractor in London. As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in the success of our projects, working closely with the project team to deliver high quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the Estimating team in preparing tender programmes and Method Statements
* Provide programmes for job estimations, highlighting any constraints and threats to completion timetable
* In conjunction with the project team, prepare comprehensive planning information on new project start ups, including the sequence of operations and dependencies (Construction Programme), resource, procurement and preconstruction requirements
* Update current project programmes and plans with site feedback on daily, weekly or monthly basis
* Advise project team of critical changes to priorities and critical threats, advising action or adjustments required to maintain targets
* Control and record programme revisions
* Provide regular evaluation and commentary of progress to the Senior Management Team
* Identify techniques to improve estimating, planning and cost control on existing and future projects

Essential Criteria:

* Third level construction related qualification
* Excellent leadership and people management skills
* Extensive programming experience on new build and interior fit out type projects and a varied technical knowledge of the construction process
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills
* Previous experience of ASTA, Primavera P6, Primavera Contractor or MS Project
* Ability to plan ahead and organise workload
* Ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative
* Willing to travel to UK sites as and when required
