About the Role

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Victoria Lodge, a vibrant and busy centre providing support for adults with a Learning Disability and Older Peoples.

The successful candidate will work within a team to support service users in maintaining their independence, skills, and well-being. This will involve delivering sessions in line with the session plan, supporting with personal care, and administering medication as required.

The role requires a good working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and assessments of capacity. The successful candidate will also be expected to use IT to update documents such as support plans and risk assessments.

The working hours are 8.50am-4pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with an additional hour on Tuesdays. The starting pay for the post is £12.18 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support service users in maintaining their independence, skills, and well-being
  • Deliver sessions in line with the session plan
