About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Land Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our Land and Planning department, you will play a crucial role in securing land opportunities to meet our company's requirements and expansion plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and acquire residential land within the East Midlands region, working closely with land agents and owners to identify suitable opportunities.
- Negotiate and manage complex, multi-party legal agreements to ensure successful land acquisitions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, agents, and local planning authorities.
- Prepare and present bid proposals to our Regional Board, highlighting the potential of each land opportunity.
- Manage the offer process, providing support to the Land Director and Managing Director as needed.
- Acquire land in accordance with our annual Land Strategy priorities and focus areas, with a minimum of 15 sites per annum.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Degree standard in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of successfully acquiring residential land within the East Midlands region.
- Experience negotiating and managing complex, multi-party legal agreements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others.
- Highly literate and numerate, with the ability to understand and interpret complex legal documentation and undertake residual valuations for land appraisals.
- A good understanding of legal obligations and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Decision-making, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines.
