Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Assistant to join our team at Portfolio Payroll. As a key member of our payroll department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:- Process monthly payrolls, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and within the designated timeframe.
- Enter and verify payroll data, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates or deductions.
- Process various payroll-related tasks, such as SSPs, SMPS, PAYE, NP, and BIA.
- Maintain and update payroll records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to the Finance department.
- Assist with the year-end payroll process.
- Stay up to date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to improve payroll processes and efficiencies.
- Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally within a property or similar environment (5+ years).
- Experience with cloud-based payroll software.
