GCSE English Moderator Job Description

Pearson is seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCSE English Moderator to join our team. As a GCSE English Moderator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our GCSE English qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct moderation of centre-assessed work in accordance with agreed assessment criteria and Pearson's procedures.
  • Review and evaluate centre samples to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Complete and submit centre reports to the Team Leader or Principal Moderator as required.
Requirements
  • One academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years and within the relevant qualification and subject.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualified teacher status.
Competencies
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.
