In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional care and assistance to young people facing Learning Disabilities (LD), Autism, and challenging behaviours within a supportive residential environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel.
- At least 6 months of paid experience in a residential care environment.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals with LD/Autism and challenging behaviours.
- Training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and practical application of these techniques.
- Experience in observing and responding to self-injurious behaviours.
- Comfortable working in a 2:1 staffing arrangement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with young people.
- Ability to effectively de-escalate conflicts and manage challenging behaviours.
- Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding protocols and commitment to person-centred care.
- Proactive mindset with the capability to manage responsibilities and contribute to the effective operation of the unit.
