Senior Interim Role: CDM Principal Designer

Michael Page (UK) is seeking a highly experienced CDM Principal Designer to join a leading North West Housing Provider on an interim basis.

About the Role

This is a senior level interim role that requires a strong background in delivering CDM Principal Designer services to a range of sector clients. The successful candidate will have a Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, a NEBOSH Construction Certificate, and be a certified or incorporated member of the Association for Project Safety (CMaPS/IMaPS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-construction information to designers and contractors.
  • Work with designers to eliminate foreseeable health and safety risks and take steps to reduce or control those risks.
  • Establish a record of principles and decisions taken in relation to health and safety from design inception to completion.
  • Advise on the development of the project brief and ensure appropriate notification to HSE of project particulars.
  • Review and comment on principal contractor's construction phase plans on behalf of the client.
  • Compile health and safety files during the project and hand over to the client on completion.
