Respiratory Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Respiratory Nurse or Physiotherapist to join our Integrated Respiratory Team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective self-management plans for patients with respiratory conditions, promoting independence and reducing hospital admissions.
- Contribute to patient and professional education, sharing your expertise and knowledge to improve respiratory care.
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients with COPD and other respiratory conditions, including oxygen therapy assessment and review.
- Support the delivery of Pulmonary Rehabilitation, including assessment and delivery of programs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Admission Avoidance and Early Supported Discharge pathways through the Respiratory Virtual Ward.
- Perform and interpret ABG and CBG results for oxygen therapy assessment and review.
- Support the Breathlessness and Diagnostics service by performing quality FeNo and ARTP accredited Spirometry.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, teaching, supervision of junior staff, and peer support.
- Embody the Trust's values and contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.
