Position Overview:
As the Lead Consultant for Complex Household Claims, you will oversee a dedicated team of Major & Complex Loss Consultants and Subsidence Team Leaders. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of high-value and intricate claims, ensuring they are processed efficiently and in accordance with established protocols and service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that claims are managed promptly and economically, adhering to the prescribed procedures and guidelines.
2. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages the development of technical skills among team members, enhancing service quality to meet customer needs.
3. Provide leadership, motivation, and direction to your team, facilitating appropriate training to optimize their capabilities.
4. Support the growth of claims handlers from various backgrounds within the organization.
5. Contribute to the overall management of claims within the Technical Claims Team, ensuring customer interests are prioritized.
6. Address complaints in line with organizational guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Extensive technical knowledge and analytical skills, with a strong background in handling complex household claims.
- A proven history of managing claims exceeding £500,000.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication skills, capable of building effective relationships internally and externally.
- A clear understanding of outstanding customer service and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.
- The ability to work autonomously, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
- Comprehensive knowledge of claims cost management and service delivery, including experience in fraud investigations.
Requirements:
- Experience in handling high-value claims within the property sector.
- Proven leadership experience managing a team across multiple locations.
- Willingness to engage with team members on a regular basis to ensure effective collaboration.
