Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team, working across various primary schools in the Newark area.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and helping children achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to pupils in EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
  • Assisting in the planning and delivery of lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Supporting the development of children's social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent (e.g., Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools).
  • Proven experience working in a primary school setting, particularly within EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
  • A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
