Job Overview

Position: Utility Arborist

Role Summary:

As a Utility Arborist, you will leverage your specialized skills to provide exceptional service while prioritizing safety. Your primary responsibility will involve the removal of trees and vegetation near our clients' overhead transmission and distribution systems. With safety as your guiding principle, you will collaborate with your team to assess, plan, and execute tree cutting operations across diverse locations.

This position is part of our arboriculture and infrastructure vegetation management division. Network Plus Services is renowned for its safe and effective delivery of arboricultural and infrastructure vegetation management solutions. Operating throughout various regions, we engage in numerous strategic, long-term contracts with leading utility and infrastructure asset owners.

Key Responsibilities:

We seek an individual who will:

  • Collaborate with a team of arborists to implement a structured work program.
  • Demonstrate motivation to meet and exceed delivery targets.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of industry regulations and safety protocols relevant to arboricultural tasks near power lines.
  • Adhere to compliance standards established by our internal policies and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with the broader delivery team to ensure that tasks are tracked and completed in accordance with client specifications.
  • Exhibit a strong ability to work independently while consistently delivering top-notch service in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in utility arboriculture.
  • A valid UK driving license (B+E is advantageous).
  • Current DNO authorization is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Utility arboriculture units: UA1, UA2.1, UA2.2 & UA2.3.
  • Chainsaw qualifications: CS30 (201/202), CS38 (206/306), and any additional units will be beneficial.
