Underground Utility Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough underground utility assessments utilizing state-of-the-art surveying methodologies and instruments.
Precisely detect, pinpoint, and chart subsurface utilities such as water, gas, electricity, telecommunications, and sewage systems.

Employ Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), electromagnetic detection devices, and various surveying apparatus to gather information and produce comprehensive utility schematics.

Work in conjunction with project leaders, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that survey goals are achieved and that deliverables meet the highest standards.

Comply with health and safety protocols and regulations while operating in varied environments and conditions.
Offer technical guidance and assistance to junior surveying personnel as required.

Qualifications and Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in Utility Surveying,
NVQ Level 3 or above in Utility Mapping
Proven knowledge of PAS128:2022 standards for Underground Utility Detection, Verification, and Location
Demonstrated experience utilizing EML and GPR surveying methods on-site (ElectroMagnetic Location, Ground Penetrating Radar),
Proficiency in interpreting GPR data on-site,
Familiarity with post-processing GPR data using specialized software is advantageous but not essential,
Experience with AutoCAD (or similar CAD applications),
Competence in using Total Station and GPS technology,
Experience in conducting basic Topographical Surveys is beneficial but not mandatory.
