Job Overview

iO Associates - UK/EU is seeking a skilled Outfit Detail Design Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable client in the Shipbuilding industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team of Engineers to create detailed 2D design layouts and arrangements, taking into account client requirements and safety regulations.
  • Conduct vessel reviews and requisition materials for Bills of Materials (BoMs).
Required Skills and Experience
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD (or similar design software) and Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum of 4 years drawing office or detail design experience, preferably within the commercial shipbuilding industry.
  • Good understanding of ship outfitting requirements.
  • HVAC and structural knowledge - an advantage.
Contract Details

This is a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. The rate is between £40-45 per hour (OUTSIDE IR35), and the work will be carried out on-site in our Glasgow office.
