Mechanical Maintenance Fitter Role

The Recruitment Group is working with a leading UK manufacturing company that produces pre-cast products for the construction sector. With 17 manufacturing facilities nationwide, they are continuing to lead in their industry.

Our client is seeking an experienced mechanical maintenance fitter to join the Maintenance team. You will assist with the day-to-day mechanical and electrical engineering within the plant.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintenance reporting through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Adhere to site Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policy
  • Conduct all possible electrical repairs and continuous improvement activities
  • Have a good working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and associated controlled automated equipment
  • Understand systems operation related to Electrical/Mechanical faults
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the site
Requirements
  • NVQ in mechanical maintenance engineering
  • Time-served apprenticeship
  • Welding, burning, and cutting
  • Risk assessments and one-minute risk assessment
  • Confined space training
  • Spill training
  • Forklift training
  • Various other mobile plant (MEWP / Scissor Lift)
  • Lifting/slinging & overhead crane training
  • HAV training
  • Manual Handling
