Imaging Engineer

Tiger Resourcing Group is looking for a talented Imaging Engineer to contribute to the Hardware Platform division. This position involves the selection of imaging hardware components, their integration into comprehensive systems, and the execution of fundamental image preprocessing tasks. The role requires collaboration with a diverse team to create tailored hardware solutions while working closely with Software Algorithms/ML and Systems departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine optical requirements and select appropriate image sensors/modules
  • Integrate hardware components into bespoke platforms
  • Develop essential device drivers for optimal performance
  • Operate both independently and collaboratively within a team setting
  • Investigate and implement innovative imaging technologies

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven expertise with CMOS image sensors
  • Comprehensive understanding of image processing parameters
  • Knowledge of infrared imaging techniques
  • Proficient in low-level interfacing protocols including MIPI CSI2, USB, GigE, and SLVS
  • Experience in developing video applications using C/C++
  • Research capabilities in cutting-edge image sensor and lens technologies
  • Fundamental electronics knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Linux kernel media stacks and vendor-specific imaging stacks
  • Experience with video streaming technologies
  • Understanding of image signal processing across various hardware platforms
  • Proficient in software version control using tools such as Git and SVN
  • Background in photography is advantageous
