Job Description

Willows Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and maintaining the highest standards of pharmacy practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Clinical Governance
    • Provide clinical and professional leadership to pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with statutory and professional requirements.
    • Monitor, assess, and oversee the training and competencies of pharmacy staff.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance
    • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date pharmacy records, including the 'Pharmacy Record' and prescription records.
    • Oversee the storage and disposal of medical cannabis and other controlled substances.
  • Operational Management
    • Contribute to the efficient running and profitability of the pharmacy by monitoring and auditing medicines expenditure.
    • Develop and implement new or revised working practices to improve the safe management of medicines.
  • Patient Care and Advice
    • Review prescriptions from doctors to ensure accuracy and suitability for patients.
    • Provide advice on dosages, side effects, and other aspects of drug interaction to patients.
Requirements
  • Be a qualified Pharmacist and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A methodical approach to work.
  • An understanding of business principles and customer service.
Working Arrangements

The post holder may be required to work at other sites when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £65,000.00 per year
