Willows Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring compliance with statutory and professional requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Clinical Governance
- Provide clinical and professional leadership to pharmacy staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Monitor, assess, and oversee the training and competencies of pharmacy staff in accordance with the Code of Ethics and requirements of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Medication Management
- Ensure the safe and effective management of medical cannabis products, including storage, disposal, and record-keeping.
- Monitor and audit medicines expenditure, introducing new or revised working practices to optimize efficiency and profitability.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory and professional requirements, including the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) 'Standards for Pharmacy Professionals'.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records, patient profiles, charge system files, and inventories.
- Patient Care and Communication
- Review prescriptions from doctors to ensure accuracy and suitability for patients.
- Offer advice on dosages, side effects, and other aspects of drug interaction to patients.
- Team Collaboration and Development
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development of pharmacy staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their continued professional development.
- Be a qualified Pharmacist and registered with the GPhC.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- A methodical approach to work.
- An understanding of business principles and the ability to apply them in a pharmacy setting.
- High levels of customer service and a professional and confident manner.
- A willingness to take on a high level of responsibility and contribute to the efficient running and profitability of the pharmacy.
The post holder may be required to work at other sites when required. Job Type: Full-time. Pay: £65,000.00 per year. Schedule: Monday to Friday. Work Location: In person.
