Claims Team Leader/Handler

Job Title: TPA Team Leader
A leading insurance company, Charles Taylor, is seeking a skilled Team Leader/Claims Handler to oversee a team responsible for managing claims from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of a claims team, ensuring efficient claims handling procedures are implemented and monitored.
- Supervise a team of claims handlers, providing training and mentorship to junior staff.
- Produce financial and KPI reports to track team performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise with clients, experts, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate resolution of claims.
- Onboard new clients and attend client meetings to build strong relationships.
Claims Handling:
- Receive and assess loss notifications, communicating with brokers and experts as necessary.
- Analyze policy wording and liability to determine the best course of action.
- Negotiate settlements with clients and other parties involved.
- Manage experts and invoices, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of claims.
- Maintain accurate claims systems and records, adhering to regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- 5 years of claims experience, with a strong understanding of insurance policies and procedures.
- 2 years of team leadership experience, with a proven track record of success.
- A Level education, with a focus on business or a related field.
- Excellent communication and numerical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- A customer-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
