Job Description

Our Transportation team is seeking a highly skilled Overhead Line Engineer to join our Swindon office. As a key member of our OLE team, you will be responsible for delivering safe, economical, and quality projects for various clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement OLE design schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant design standards and safety principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects, including leading design and construction activities.
  • Provide expert advice on OLE design and implementation, ensuring constructability and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including design and construction disciplines, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are met throughout the project lifecycle, including responding to design queries and attending site meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • BSc, BEng, or MEng degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer (or working towards) and member of a professional institution.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in OLEMI and other OLE ranges, including UKMS, Series-1, Series-2, Mk3B, GEFF, Mk1, SICAT, SNCF, and UK1.
  • Familiarity with isolation diagrams and their update process.
  • Understanding of earthing and bonding requirements for electrification.
  • Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation CAD software.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of CSM-RA and Health and Safety, including CDM, and experience of managing teams.
