Falkirk Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Faculty Head of Religious Education to join our team. As a Faculty Head, you will play a key role in inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential in Religious Education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Religious Education department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement effective curricular pathways to meet the needs of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
- Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment policies.
Requirements:
- Hold an appropriate secondary qualification.
- Hold the Catholic Teacher's Certificate in Religious Education.
- Have significant experience of working in a Secondary School.
- Be fully registered with the General Teaching Council, Scotland (GTCS).
- Be able to demonstrate that they possess the commitment, knowledge and skills outlined in the Standard for Full Registration.
