About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Practitioner to take on the role of SEN Team Leader at our special school. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating our respite centre and leading our Short Breaks program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Develop and implement a Strategic Development Plan for the Short Breaks service, including budget management and staff performance.
  • Safeguarding Lead: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, overseeing both safeguarding and administrative staff.
  • Staff Management: Manage the recruitment, training, and performance of staff to ensure high-quality care and service delivery.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with Ofsted registration and other relevant regulations.
  • Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with families, schools, and external agencies.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing services for children and young people with SEND, with at least a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Childcare, or a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Travel: Hold a valid driver's license, with the willingness to travel between sites around Swindon and drive a minibus as needed.
