Maternity Cover Teacher for Year 2

Long-term Teachers Ltd is collaborating with a special educational institution in the West of Bristol that is seeking a dedicated educator to cover a maternity leave. This role is expected to last through the initial terms, with a possibility of extension based on the needs of the school.
This exceptional institution caters to a diverse range of special educational needs, with a primary focus on Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Recent positive changes within the school make it an excellent time to join their committed team.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will undertake full class teaching responsibilities, which includes planning and marking lessons. Adequate planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) time will be allocated to ensure a balanced workload. Support will be provided by teaching assistants within the classroom, which consists of a small group of students.
As this is a maternity cover position, the initial contract will be for a specified duration, with the potential for further opportunities within the school.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred
- Experience working with SEMH and ASD students
- Positive, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviors
- Leadership skills to support and develop teaching assistants
