About the Role

The Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Analyst to join our team. As a Test Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high-quality delivery of our Somerset Cancer Register (SCR) products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute tests to ensure high-quality releases of our SCR products.
  • Support test plans and collaborate closely with SCR team members, customers, and national bodies.
  • Translate technical information into accessible language and participate in SCR meetings to share best practices.
  • Prioritize and manage your own workload, report on testing results, and identify risks.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SCR products and national cancer guidelines.
  • Provide customer support and resolve system-related issues efficiently.

Requirements
  • Education to level 3 or higher in an IT-related subject or equivalent gained through specific relevant experience.
  • English Language and Maths GCSE or equivalent graded C+ or 4+.
  • Evidence of own continuing professional or personal development.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows operating systems and software applications, including MS Office.
  • Some experience in testing/quality assurance, user acceptance, beta testing, or code reviews.
  • Using Teams or similar for meetings/collaboration and working in a customer service environment.
