IT Infrastructure Automation Specialist

REED Specialist Recruitment is partnering with a leading charitable organisation to find an IT Infrastructure Engineer to support their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organisation's IT infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of their IT services.
- Design and implement Microsoft on-premises infrastructure solutions to meet the organisation's needs.
- Migrate the organisation to Microsoft 365, including Office 365, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams, to enhance collaboration and productivity.
- Align IT infrastructure strategy with organisational goals to drive business outcomes and improve efficiency.
- Lead infrastructure projects to improve the effectiveness of business operations and ensure seamless integration with other departments.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand and meet their IT infrastructure needs, ensuring a cohesive and supportive work environment.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable IT infrastructure solutions to support the organisation's growth and development.
- Lead infrastructure upgrade projects, including hardware and software updates, to ensure the organisation's IT infrastructure remains up-to-date and secure.
- Collaborate with IT colleagues to reinforce infrastructure security and protect the organisation's data and systems.
- Stay up-to-date with technological advancements and integrate them into the organisation's infrastructure to maintain a competitive edge.
- Supervise and mentor the IT Support Engineer to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Delegate tasks and manage project timelines effectively to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure good communication and a collaborative approach to work with the IT team, other departments, and stakeholders to achieve organisational goals.
- Create project plans, manage resource allocation, and risk to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Inform and implement IT policies and strategies to ensure the organisation's IT infrastructure is aligned with its overall goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Foundation degree or higher in a related field, such as computer science or information technology.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure roles focusing on Microsoft, VMware, and Cisco Meraki technologies.
- Proven experience in planning and executing migrations to Microsoft 365, including Office 365, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams.
