Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead highways and infrastructure design projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Represent the company as a technical expert, contributing to work winning activities and project pipeline.
  • Take commercial responsibility for projects, ensuring successful delivery to time, cost, quality, and contractual requirements.
  • Work with clients to understand their objectives and desired outcomes for each project.
  • Delegate to, manage, and direct Engineers and Technicians involved on projects.
  • Responsible for technical design quality on the projects they are managing.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and be self-motivated.
  • Undertake site visits to monitor progress and highlight issues as necessary.
  • Liaise with other construction professionals in the development of designs.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of delivering highway and drainage design, including S278/38 Approval process and Water Authority Sections 104, 116, and 185 agreements.
  • Experience of highway technical design on major and minor projects, including a good understanding of design principles and the ability to practically apply them.
  • Must be IT literate with excellent knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil3D and Microdrainage or similar, and other civil engineering packages.
  • A wide range of experience, including working with housing developers, is preferable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of project stakeholders.
