Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our Glasgow City Wide Phlebotomy Service. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care to patients in clinics and home settings, promoting independent living and supporting carers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the care of patients under the direction of a registered nurse, providing health education and health promotion to promote independent living.
  • Deliver care to patients in their own homes and clinical environments, taking into account their lifestyle, race, gender, and cultural background, as well as factors impacting physical, mental, or emotional health.
  • Represent the values and beliefs of the nursing team and the organization, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, using excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to work without direct supervision.

Requirements

  • SVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
