Position Overview:
We are collaborating with Primary Schools in the Tamworth region to assist them in their search for dedicated 1-1 Teaching Assistants.

Role Responsibilities:
The roles involve providing tailored support to students on a one-on-one basis, addressing various needs, including:
  • Autism

  • Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Learning Delays
  • Physical Disabilities
  • Visual and Hearing Impairments

Key Duties Include:
  • Assisting the lead educator in executing educational activities and lesson plans
  • Offering support and supervision to students with special needs, particularly those with autism
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Aiding in personalized instruction and behavior management techniques
  • Collaborating with the lead educator and other staff to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Supporting students in their social, emotional, and academic development
  • Tracking student progress and providing constructive feedback to the lead educator

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • Experience working with children, especially those with special needs or autism
  • Familiarity with special education methodologies and strategies
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
