About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Winery Team at Nyetimber. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our winery equipment and production lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planned preventative maintenance schedule and service records for all winery equipment.
  • Carry out required maintenance or contact relevant technicians to ensure all work is completed.
  • Support ad-hoc repairs and maintenance of winery equipment at both the Crawley winery and pressing centres.
  • Accurately update relevant service records for all winery equipment.
  • Maintain flexibility to respond to call outs to the winery and pressing centres during harvest to ensure smooth operation.
  • Use initiative to stay current with training and knowledge of winery equipment.
  • Demonstrate care and attention for all equipment provided, with adequate hygiene levels maintained for all equipment in contact with wine.
  • Ensure own work complies with H&S Regulations, in-house procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure processing lines are kept clean and organized in accordance with the reputation and expectations of an internationally recognized wine producer.
  • To ensure the winery workshop area and tools are kept clean and organized with a defined inventory.
Requirements
  • Experience in order picking, packing, and preparing sales orders for dispatch while ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand standards.
  • Hands-on experience with receiving, storing, shipping, and troubleshooting logistics-related issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Proven ability and certification in operating a forklift safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding and experience in adhering to health and safety regulations, particularly within a warehouse setting.
  • Experience in training and supervising temporary staff, with a focus on ensuring safe practices and high-quality work.
  • Background in managing daily facility operations, including security tasks such as opening, closing, and maintaining building security.
