Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design/Analysis Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing mechanical components, including structural supports, heat exchangers, and exhaust systems.
About the Role:
As a Mechanical Design/Analysis Engineer, you will work closely with our structural design team to advise on concepts and improvements to current projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing concept design drawings and calculations.
- Attending customer meetings in the UK and overseas.
- Performing detailed engineering calculations using software and hand calculations.
- Supporting project management, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.
- Assisting in producing user manuals/instructions.
- Conducting site surveys, condition assessments, and producing technical reports and recommendations.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Substantial experience in a mechanical design role.
- Experience in structural analysis using Autodesk Robot or a similar analysis package.
- Pressure vessel design experience and familiarity with relevant international codes/standards.
- Design experience in air handling/filtration systems, heat exchangers, and acoustical calculations.
