Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Design Team at our Swadlincote offices. This permanent full-time role offers a unique opportunity to work on the design and development of bespoke conveyor systems and mechanical handling machinery.
The Role:- Design and develop conveyor systems and mechanical handling machinery from concept to final production
- Use AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD design suites for creating detailed designs
- Collaborate with the Engineering Design Team to deliver high-quality projects
- Think creatively to solve complex engineering problems
- Ensure designs meet all relevant standards and specifications
- A recognised mechanical engineering qualification such as ONC, HNC, HND, BTEC or equivalent
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD design suites
- Experience with installing and maintaining Autodesk software (advantageous)
- Competence in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence
- Legal right to work in the UK
The Mechanical Design Engineer role offers an attractive package including an annual salary of 45,500. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Additional benefits include a supportive work environment and the opportunity to work on innovative projects.
