The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled C++ developer to build a next-generation low-latency exchange connectivity software powering our risk engine compute framework and trading strategies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing critical low-latency software, performing benchmarks, writing unit tests, and ensuring high availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize system performance through various low-latency programming techniques.
  • Develop new strategies to compute risk across different market-making strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of new exchange connectors.
  • Perform reproducible benchmarks across different system components to ensure no performance degradation.
  • Expand the core API library to support different event streams.
  • Support quant researchers in integrating novel strategies into the core computing system.
  • Contribute to internal libraries for inter-process communication.
Requirements
  • Experience in modern C++, preferably C++ 20.
  • Experience with Unix and a strong understanding of different communication protocols such as TCP/UDP and Unix Domain sockets.
  • Strong understanding of the C++ memory model.
  • Experience with developing large-scale object-oriented applications by utilizing common design patterns such as Flyweight, Visitor, Strategy, and Factory methods.
  • Advanced knowledge of templates and template meta-programming to ensure compile-time bindings rather than virtual dispatch.
  • Knowledge of multithreading, and asynchronous programming through the use of common event loops such as Boost.Asio.
  • Familiarity with the WebSocket protocol and its implementation details as specified in the RFC6455.
  • Knowledge of complex build systems like CMake and working towards minimizing the build of large projects through clever dependency management.
  • Strong understanding of the x86 architecture, including hardware cache, optimizing code for cache-locality, and knowledge of machine intrinsic.
