About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for managing a 4-bedded children's home in a rural area and leading a team of 9 staff members to deliver high-quality care to young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for young people.
  • Lead and motivate the staff team to deliver excellent care and achieve the best possible outcomes for each young person.
  • Develop and implement plans, reports, and policies to ensure the smooth running of the home and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the company professionally to external agencies and the local community, promoting our values and services.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant position, with at least 1 year requiring the supervision and management of staff in a care role.
  • Recognized social work qualification, such as QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) and QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of Children's Home legislation, inspection requirements, and child protection/safeguarding procedures.
  • Licensed to drive a manual gear car and have access to a vehicle with business insurance.
Benefits
  • 22 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
  • Occupancy Bonus: £175 per child after the first child
  • Ofsted Report Bonuses: £500 for a good report, £1000 for an outstanding report
  • Non-contributory pension (9% Employer contribution) and company sick pay after 6 months probation
  • On-call payments: £10 per day Monday-Fridays and £50 for Saturday and Sunday
  • Enhanced sick pay: 5 days full sick pay
