About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Dementia Adviser. As a key member of our community outreach team, you will play a vital role in providing support, information, and guidance about brain health and dementia to people in your local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Raise awareness about brain health and symptoms of dementia in your local community.
  • Attend local events, meet members of the public, and provide guidance and support.
  • Improve people's sense of well-being, enabling them to have more control over their lives and promoting the benefits of seeking a memory assessment.
  • Assist with the identification of needs, provide information, and access to relevant services.
  • Promote our service and build relationships with a range of health and social care professionals.
About You

We are looking for a self-starter who is proactive, creative, a good listener, and incredibly motivated. You will have the ability and interest in supporting people to discuss their memory concerns, recognise the symptoms of dementia, and help them take more control of their lives.

You will have experience of quickly and independently building networks and developing working relationships, as well as experience with communicating with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding at all levels.

Good IT skills, experience working with databases and virtual meeting software (Teams / Zoom), and the ability to travel across North Lincolnshire independently are essential for this role.
