Domestic Major Claims Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Domestic Major Claims Specialist to join our Technical Claims team. In this role, you will play a vital part in handling complex domestic claims, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for our valued customers.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of high-value and complex domestic insurance claims from inception to completion.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, and assess damages accurately.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants, contractors, and other parties involved.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication with customers throughout the claims process.
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in handling complex home insurance claims, including those exceeding £100,000 in value.
  • Minimum qualification of Cert CII, with aspirations to progress to Dip CII; comparative CILA qualifications are also accepted.
  • In-depth knowledge of technical insurance principles, subrogation practices, underwriting procedures, and ABI report writing.
  • Understanding of building regulations and property reinstatement processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
