At Peel Technical, we are seeking a skilled Fire Door Engineer to join our team. This permanent position will be based at our Adlerly Park site, where you will be responsible for undertaking inspections, installations, and remedials of fire doors across our static sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough visual inspections of fire doors to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Produce detailed reports and offer expert advice and recommendations to clients.
  • Install fire doors in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and our FIRAS third-party accreditation.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of timber fire doors, door surrounds, and related furniture.
  • Identify and verify the correct frame specification for each door's rating.
  • Ensure compatibility of frame, lining, casing, and intumescent smoke seals.
  • Stay up-to-date with current Health & Safety and relevant legislation.

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of fire door regulations and industry standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards.
