Senior External Audit Manager, London

Are you a seasoned audit professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior External Audit Manager to join our team in London.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled audit professional to lead our external audit team in London. As a Senior External Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating complex, cross-border audit projects, and developing tailored efficient global audit strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee and lead large, complex audit engagements or a portfolio of smaller engagements with international elements.
  • Quality Assurance: Deliver high-quality, trusted audits in line with ISAs, IFRS, UK GAAP, and other key regulatory frameworks.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate and communicate confidently with Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners, delivering timely and transparent reports.
  • Staff Development: Manage and mentor teams, ensuring continued professional development while fostering a collaborative working environment.
  • Commercial Acumen: Utilize strong commercial and financial management skills to oversee audit portfolios and identify growth opportunities for the business.

Requirements:

  • Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, ICAS, or equivalent
  • Extensive Experience: Proven experience in delivering audits and assurance services to major multinational entities, including audit management experience, with at least 12 months UK experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of ISAs, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting Standards, with experience conducting Group Audits
  • Leadership Skills: Experience managing and developing teams, with the ability to handle challenging conversations and guide management.
  • Global Outlook: Experience working with internationally focused clients, ideally including travel and cross-border projects.
