About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Shipping Procurement Specialist to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing procurement processes and maintaining relationships with vendors and service providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Management: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure seamless delivery of goods and services.
  • Cost Management: Analyze and optimize costs to ensure maximum value for the company.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance procurement processes.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 3+ years of experience in operations within the maritime, shipping, or logistics industries.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong operational and commercial awareness, particularly in Terminal and Port Services, Marketing/ Trade, Procurement and Operations.
  • Skills and Competencies: Analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving and decision-making, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
