Job Summary:

WR Logistics is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join their team in a logistics coordination role. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the movement of containers throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange the release, collection, and delivery of containers
  • Plan driver routes UK-wide, ensuring adherence to Working Time Directive (WTD) and dealing with any infringements
  • Ensure all routes are planned cost-efficiently
  • Work with the Operations Manager to ensure all vehicles are in compliance with company standards
  • Prepare daily route reports for the Operations Manager

Requirements:

  • Experience using the TOPS system is preferred but not essential
  • Container experience required
  • Strong knowledge of Vehicle Booking System (VBS)
  • Excellent geographical knowledge
  • 2 years' experience as a Transport Planner
  • Logistics, distribution, and supply chain experience
