About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to join our support team at St Gabriel's C of E Primary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children with specialist additional needs, working closely with the class teacher to ensure a child has full access to the national curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children 1:1 across all areas of the curriculum
  • Ensure a child has full access to the national curriculum and operate in a number of ways to ensure the child progresses
  • Work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school
  • Work with an individual pupil and with small groups
  • Show a high degree of initiative and react to given solutions with integrity and compassion
  • Have experience of working with children, ideally within a school environment
  • Inspire and motivate children and enable them to be the best that they can be
  • Encourage every child to learn and achieve and have enthusiasm, skill and desire to make a difference
  • Plan, prepare and promote constructive play during the lunchtime period
