About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to join our support team at St Gabriel's C of E Primary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children with specialist additional needs, working closely with the class teacher to ensure a child has full access to the national curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children 1:1 across all areas of the curriculum, working under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Ensure a child has full access to the national curriculum, operating in a number of ways to ensure the child progresses.
  • Work with an individual pupil and with small groups, liaising with other professionals both within and outside the school.
  • Plan, prepare and promote constructive play during the lunchtime period.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with children, ideally within a school environment.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate children, enabling them to be the best that they can be.
  • Passion to ensure high expectations for all, ensuring that they make outstanding progress.
  • Comfortable working in a Church School environment, upholding the Christian ethos and distinctiveness.
