Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Management: Monitor stock levels, forecast needs, and advise on restocking to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Procurement: Manage stock acquisition, raise purchase orders, and coordinate with suppliers and logistics for timely deliveries.
  • Transportation Management: Choose efficient and cost-effective transportation for shipments to minimize costs and maximize delivery times.
  • Financial Management: Work with the Finance Manager to plan payments and maintain cash flow to ensure the smooth operation of the business.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers across regions to ensure reliable and high-quality goods and services.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across the organization, including Operations, Warehousing, Finance, and more to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify new suppliers to improve cost, sustainability, or environmental impact, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records on the system to ensure compliance and transparency.
  • Procedure Development: Update procedures and best practices for team use to ensure consistency and quality.

General Responsibilities:

  • Communication: Communicate effectively, provide feedback, and treat everyone with respect to maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Record Keeping: Keep orderly records and travel as needed for supplier visits or events to ensure accurate documentation and compliance.
  • Professional Development: Pursue professional development and complete ad hoc tasks to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Company Policies: Follow company policies, health and safety rules, and promote Corporate Social Responsibility to ensure a safe and sustainable work environment.

Requirements:

  • Supply Chain or Procurement Management Qualification: A qualification in Supply Chain or Procurement Management is desirable.
  • Experience: Experience with global logistics (sea, rail, air) and team management is essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach are required.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Resilient, adaptable, organized, and strong in communication are essential for success in this role.
