Position Overview

The role of the Business Operations and Compliance Analyst encompasses a dual function within a prestigious international banking environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute internal control framework activities, including adjustments to authority delegation, managing access rights to IT platforms, and overseeing approval processes in relevant systems.
  • Support marketing teams with business travel arrangements, managing Gifts & Entertainment, processing expense claims, and facilitating new employee onboarding with a focus on maintaining robust controls.
  • Ensure precise record-keeping pertinent to trade finance operations, which includes data collection, entry, and extraction from banking systems, along with generating summaries and trend analyses utilizing critical thinking for insightful commentary.
  • Provide prompt guidance to marketing divisions by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of existing policies and collaborating with other departments as necessary.
  • Assist in initiatives and projects by delivering timely and relevant data from diverse sources.
  • Investigate discrepancies or inefficiencies that significantly impact operations, clearly articulating issues and proposing viable solutions with effective follow-up.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the Business Operations and Compliance Analyst position will possess:

  • Essential experience in financial services, particularly in an accounting-related capacity, with a strong preference for knowledge of trade finance products.
  • Strong numerical, accounting, and financial acumen, capable of managing and controlling financial data across various business lines.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including the use of pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP functions, and graphical data representation.
  • Desirable knowledge of the Japanese language, although not mandatory.

In this role, meticulous attention to detail, proactive control measures, and clear documentation are paramount to ensure data integrity and clarity in analysis and commentary for stakeholders.
