Position: Senior Planner
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to become an integral part of our Design team, primarily focusing on major projects within the Nuclear sector.
Location: Liverpool, Speke
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time - Hybrid working options are available, with an expectation of on-site presence at least three times a week.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Planner, you will be engaged in a significant energy initiative, delivering nuclear-grade reinforced concrete and infrastructure as part of one of the UK's largest projects. Your initial focus will be on guiding a project through to its completion, followed by involvement in additional nuclear projects within our Natural Resources, Nuclear, and Networks business unit. The role emphasizes large-scale reinforced concrete construction, necessitating substantial experience in this domain, alongside adept management of changes and the creation of impact programs within the NEC contract framework.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Leading the planning efforts to execute an NEC Option C contract for constructing a reinforced concrete frame building.
- Generating programs for acceptance, impact assessments, weekly forecasts, project control dashboards, reports, and program narratives.
- Evaluating project metrics, particularly work rates, to ensure key program dates are accurately tracked and represented in project dashboards.
- Assisting the commercial team in producing precise forecasts for project completion based on labor resources and material requirements.
Candidate Profile:
This Senior Planner role is ideal for individuals who possess:
- Experience in planning based on UK NEC contracts.
- A strong familiarity with reinforced concrete frame construction techniques and methodologies.
- A background in construction across diverse engineering projects, with a solid grasp of commercial and contractual issues.
- The ability to take ownership and contribute to planning, programming, and risk management from the tender phase through to project completion.
